PETER’S “LAND’S END TO JOHN O’GROATS” VIRTUAL CHARITY RUN
I had intended to run my first marathon last year to raise money for charities but unfortunately Covid-19 put a stop to that. I was hoping I’d be able to do it this year instead but it is looking increasingly unlikely this year also.
So, instead I have now signed up to running Land’s End to John O’Groats as a virtual run. The challenge will have me attempt to run the 1083.8 miles within 6 months. I am running locally most days during lockdown and logging my miles on The Conqueror App. I will be able to update you on my progress by posting milestones on my journey through the app.
I have decided to support 3 charities that I hold dear to my heart and split whatever funds I raise evenly between the 3.
The 3 Charities I will be supporting are:
The RNLI https://rnli.org/what-we-do/lifeboats-and-stations
Cancer Research UK https://www.cancerresearchuk.org/about-us
GRASS Cliftonville https://grasscliftonville.org/
Please give whatever you can for these amazing charities. I will be extremely grateful for any amount you can give. Every little helps!
I hope to complete my virtual run from Land’s End to John O’Groats by the end of June and would love to be able to raise £1,000 (even more would be fantastic) for my charities.
I will keep you updated with regular updates on my progress through the 1083 miles (1744 kilometres).
I started the challenge on 4 January 2021.
Thank you so much in advance! xx
I WILL POST PROOF OF DONATIONS TO THE CHARITIES AT THE END OF MY CHALLENGE
