Per i bambini della mia Africa - Joe 26th bday

COVID time made us understand how a virus can change and harm people’s lives, from their lifestyle, opportunity, safety etc.

I learnt this lesson when I was a kid as I was born in a very poor African Tribe in the northern part of Cameroon and I lived there for about 5 years with my parents who used to run a no profit ONG community in which we used to give hospitality to poor and sick children with handicap issues.

These kids are most of the time abandoned by their family and some of them die before turning 3 years old for “silly” problem such as fever, Diarrea etc.

but Malaria, starvation and criminality are the real killers for these kids who can find a school, home and a family in this community called Centro Bethlehem and eventually start a better life and aim to a better future…hopefully.

For my 26thbirthday, I would love to make something good for these kids, my brothers and sisters, it’s the second time I do it and it’s my way to be grateful to life and to Africa.

If any of us would put at least 5/10 chf each …we could rise almost 1.000 chf. /€

And that amount of money could do a big difference to them. It would be a dream for me and it could be a reason to smile and to be proud of yourself and ourselves as humans by making a simple click but a meaningful donation!

Die Covid-Zeit hat uns gezeigt, wie ein Virus das Leben eines Menschen verändern oder beschädigen kann im Bezug auf den Lebensstil, die Möglichkeiten, die Sicherheit etc.

Ich habe diese Lektion als Kind gelernt, da ich in einem sehr armen afrikanischen Stamm geboren wurde im nördlichen Teil von Kamerun. Ich habe etwa 5 Jahre dort gelebt, mit meinen Eltern, welche dort eine gemeinnützige Organisation führten. Diese gab armen und kranken Kindern mit handicap eine Unterkunft.

Die meisten dieser Kinder wurden von ihren Familien verlassen und manche von ihnen starben mit weniger als 3 Jahren wegen „dummen“ Problemen, wie zum Beispiel Fieber oder Durchfall.

Aber Malaria, Hunger und Kriminalität sind die wahren Mörder dieser Kinder, welche in dieser Gemeinschaft namens Centro Bethlehem hoffentlich eine Schule, ein zu Hause und eine Familie finden können. So können sie ein besseres Leben anfangen und eine bessere Zukunft anstreben.

Für meinen 26. Geburtstag würde ich gerne etwas gutes tun für diese Kinder, meine Brüder und Schwestern. Es ist das zweite Mal, dass ich das mache und es ist mein Weg dankbar zu sein für mein Leben und für Afrika.

Wenn wenige von euch schon nur 5-10 Franken spenden würden, könnten wir locker 1000 Franken sammeln. Ein Betrag, der einen riesigen Unterschied machen kann. Es wäre ein grosser Traum von mir und es wäre ein Grund zum Lächeln und stolz auf sich selber zu sein oder auf uns als Menschen, denn so machen wir eine einfache aber Bedeutsame Veränderung und Spende!

In tempo di COVID, stiamo provando sulla nostra pelle l’effetto e le conseguenze che una malattia può avere sulle nostre vite, dalla quotidianità, i progetti, la sicurezza di noi e chi amiamo.

Questa consapevolezza mi è stata trasmessa fin da bambino, essendo nato e cresciuto fino a circa 5 anni in una tribù nella poverissima parte nord del Camerun

dove vivevo con i miei genitori e mia sorella Noemi Sise all’interno di un centro chiamato “Fondazione Bethlehem” che ancora oggi é una realtà importante che dá rifugio e ospitalità a bambini poveri e malati, il più con gravi problemi di handicap.

Spesso questi bambini vengono abbandonati dalle proprie famiglie o rischiano di morire prima di compiere 3/5 anni per malattie “banali” (per noi) come influenza e Diarrea… ma la Malaria, la fame e la criminalità sono i veri Killer per questo popolo e per i suoi bambini, che possono trovare nel centro Bethlehem una scuola, una casa e una famiglia con cui poter ricominciare a credere in un futuro più umano.

Per il mio ventiseiesimo compleanno vorrei fare qualcosa anche per quei fratelli e sorelle lontani, nati e cresciuti con me, ma con possibilità e futuro diversi, è la seconda volta che lo faccio ed è un mio primo approccio e modo di essere grato alla vita e alla mia Africa.

Se ognuno di noi donasse 5/10€ potremmo raccogliere “facilmente” un ammontare di circa 1.000€ (magari più) da donare a questo centro e a questi bambini, facendo una piccola grande differenza.

É un grande sogno e desiderio per me oltre a poterci regalare un sorriso, renderci fieri di noi stessi e di essere umani consapevoli di ciò che siamo, abbiamo e di ciò che possiamo fare per gli altri con un semplice click.
