Peoria Home www.peoriahome.org is raising money to acquire a home, furnishings and beginning operational expenses to open a residential recovery program for women, 18 and over, who have been exploited through sex trafficking and prostitution.
In Snohomish County Washington, at any given time there are 100-200 women surviving on the streets through prostitution and sex trafficking. Exact numbers are difficult to obtain. Many are exploited and controlled by pimps, some working on their own and all believing they have no other choice. We want to be another choice, a better choice. Peoria Home will provide a two-year residential recovery program for women who have been victimized and exploited. We are committed to walking alongside women who have survived lives of trafficking, prostitution and addiction offering hope and healing toward creating a new life. Our program will include housing, referrals for alcohol/drug therapy, counseling, medical/dental care, education and job training. To assist with job training and experience we plan to begin a social enterprise which will also help to defer on-going program costs. www.peoriahome.org
We are a 501c3 non-profit in the State of Washington.
All Donors will receive recognition in our Grand Opening memorial book!! For a commemorative engraved brick in our walkway see special donation levels!! Thank you for your support!!
