Spende geschützt
My name is Petrina Peters, I've been best friends with Penney's youngest son for my entire life. My goal is to raise the funds to cover funeral expenses so that Penney's kids can focus on spending their time with her instead of stressing over finances.
In November of 2019 Penney was diagnosed with stage 3 liver cancer. It was in an inoperable location and she wasn't eligible for a transplant. They started radiation beads in March with no success. At that time she nearly died due to a surgical complication. After she healed from the first round they attempted standard radiation treatment. This treatment was a success in the sense that it shrunk the tumor, but it damaged her liver and subsequently her kidneys. In July Penney started having her abdomen drained weekly to help with the buildup of fluids. This resulted in fatigue, lathargy, and an overall decline in her quality of life. The last week of October Penney received a call from her doctor informing her that her kidneys were failing and she needed to go to the hospital immediately. She was hospitalized for a week and a half while they made the tough decisions regarding how to move forward with these new complications. Penney, with the aid of her kids and doctors decided to go home with hospice care. This decision allows her to spend time with her loved ones while she can.
Any donation you make will go to funeral expenses and other needs that arise during her end of life care.
