Social Media Family! I want to share the story of “Pedro”. For the past months on my way to and from work I had the pleasure to run into this man. Of course for those of you that know me, the dog was what initially caught my eye so of course I needed to know more about his situation and this is how our friendship began. Pedro’s story is probably one that’s more common than we would think and yet the lack of resources and help for these individuals is heartbreaking.  He has been living in the streets for many years and throughout his time has managed to rally a group in the community who love him and help him survive. Once you meet Pedro you immediately see what a good heart he has. He relies on the help of his amazing group of angels who bring him food, water etc. and yet with the little he has his main priority is always Sky, whose not only his dog but his family. This is his best friend and what motivates him to want to keep going everyday. We are currently looking into options on helping Pedro and Sky get out of the dangers that come with homelessness. He’s been robbed, abused and beaten on the streets. At the moment we are looking into a temporary solution to help him get out of this weather. Keep in mind that his situation does limit options, he has a dog, which are not allowed at centers and in the past when he has tried Sky was taken away from him. Imagine your child being removed for trying to find a place to live. This is his only family left. Please guys all I ask from you is to help me share their story and send any feedback/ suggestions on how we could realistically find a long term solution. thank you!
