Pediatrics Art Therapy
Donation protected
This fundraising project is to support my internship doing Art Therapy/Counseling in the pediatrics program through the Sacred Heart Hospital in Eugene, Oregon.
I will be doing 600+ hours at the hospital doing Art Therapy/Counseling with children and families in inpatient pediatrics, NICU, mother baby unit, and children's mental health department.
Funding will help support all art supplies, therapy resources, supervision needs, continuing education, expended programming and other costs related to providing art therapy in the hospital setting for children and their families. Art Therapy is vital to the healing process of these children who are under emotional and physical stress.
I received my Bachelors degree in Fine Arts Painting from Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design in Denver and continued my studies at Southwestern College in the masters program studying Art Therapy and Counseling.
My experience nannying, directing and running children’s art camps, and being involved with the Boys and Girls Club has influenced my career path with wanting to combine my passion for art and working with children. I’m excited for this next step working with children in a hospital based setting. I appreciate any support you can provide in achieving this next milestone.
