Pedal for Pat - Century Bike Ride

I am raising money for Alzheimer's research by participating in a 100 mile bike ride this October. The event is known as "Pedal for Pat." This event was created to honor the legendary Women's Basketball Coach Pat Summit who tragically lost her battle with Alzheimer's last summer.
Many of you are aware that my cousin, Michelle Marciniak, played for Pat Summit and was in fact the 1996 MVP of the NCAA tournament. Michelle is the co-sponsor of this event and she will be riding 1098 miles. This distance represents a mile for each of Coach Pat's victories starting in Tennessee and ending in Florida. I have agreed to join Michelle for the last 100 miles of her journey and I consider it an honor to do so.
I know that for many of you this is UCONN country; however, I think that everyone can agree that Pat Summitt was an inspirational coach and that her battle with Alzheimers was a tragedy. Personally, it would be amazing if Connecticut could show its love and respect here by supporting this cause.
I am honored to be doing this and I truly hope that you will consider giving any amount that you feel like giving. I would be very grateful!
