Peace of Mind for the Taft Family
Have you ever had a child that needed expensive medical care and had the worry of not having enough money for travel, hotels, food, and most of all, bills? Well, if you have, then you will understand how and what my best friend and her beautiful family are going through. Jennifer Taft (Makatura), Anthony, Connor and Madelynn need our help!
Just recently little Miss Madelynn (Born September 25th, 2017) was diagnosed with Metopic Craniosynostosis ((kray-nee-o-sin-os-TOE-sis)). There are different forms of Craniosynostosis (this condition affects 1 in every 2,500 individuals in the U.S. alone) and Madelynn has the rarest of them all. This is a condition that is so rare that only 10% of cases end up like this. To read more about this condition, see the link below.

The Taft family has a long road ahead of them. Madelynn is going to need surgery by at least the age of 6 months depending on the severity of her condition.
Anthony is the main source of income in the household, and his insurance wont cover the surgery unless they make it out of network, so they will be paying for her surgery out of pocket. Their consultation and surgery will take place in Chicago. That is a 12 hour drive from their home.
This fundraiser is going to help them immensely with the cost of travel, lodging, lost wages, and medical bills due to the many upcoming appointments they are going to have to attend very soon!
This family means a lot to me, and they don't deserve the hand they've been dealt, but they are strong. Even strong families need help sometimes. I hope that you can sympathize with their situation and want to help them as much as I do. Any little bit helps!
