We love our bikes, we love being in the community, and we love the idea of free and intelligent thinking!
Hi, my name is Lawrence, the serious cyclist/filmmaker to my left is my compadre, Chris, and our future mobile bikeshop (the teal minivan) is behind us. We are the co-creators of a cycling collective named Psyko Byko (www.psykobyko.com). Our mission is to promote community growth through relationship building activities, creative media projects and community cycling events. Originally based in Las Vegas, we are now taking our cycling initiative across America.
Goal.
We are conducting a research project that documents our efforts to engage and activate a positive message of peace and education awareness throughout as many communties as we can, while riding our bicycles to promote physical and mental fitness across the United States. We will be conducting surveys, live blog updates, and interviews with a variety of community participants that we meet along our journey.

Goal.

Our project is going to be conducted over 30-40 days through 12 stages and 4,000+ miles.
Stage 1: Las Vegas - Oakland/San Fran
Stage 2: Oakland, CA - Portland, OR
Stage 3: Portland, OR - Seattle, WA
Stage 4: Seattle , WA - Denver, CO
Stage 5: Denver, CO - Kansas City, MO
Stage 6: Kansas City, MO - Ferguson, MO
Stage 7: Ferguson, MO - Indianapolis, IN
Stage 8: Indianapolis, IN - NYC
Stage 9: NYC - Philadelphia, PA
Stage 10: Philadelphia, PA - Washington DC
Stage 11: Washington DC - Richmond, VA
Stage 12: Virginia - Miami, FL
We began November 10, 2014 and are hoping to cycle at least [phone redacted] miles each on this trip. Both will have our mileage recorded and documented after each stage, and one of us will be driving while the other cycles at varying points along the way.

The target of $3,000 is the minimum we will need to make this project happen.Yep, that's only gas, some lodging, some video equipment, and bike accesories (lights, tires, innertubes, chain) needed to keep up maintenance on our bikes.
We are also working on gaining product sponsors, in order to be able to donate bikes/parts, tshirts, helmets, and other bike accesories to communities that we visit on this trip. The entire experience will be updated on this site!
We ride to overcome barriers within our community. With your help we hope to bring awareness to those barriers!
