Paying tribute to Gary Schmidt

For most of you who knew my dad you knew he always tried to make everyone happy and loved dad jokes. He was one of the most selfless people and I was extremely lucky to call him my dad. Growing up he never missed one of my games whether he was my coach or on the sidelines. He always did everything he could to help our family. He took on two jobs, over a year ago working 3am-6pm almost everyday just to keep us up. On July 16th 2019, he decided to take his own life. He leaves behind his wife, and 2 daughters. You never know when someone is going through something and for anyone who is, please speak up and reach out to prevent what my family has to go through right now. Taking your own life is never the answer. My dad was my families rock, and living without him is going to be extremely hard. Now it’s time to show Gary how much he truly meant to all of us. A lot of people have been asking what they could do to help and if there’s anything anyone would like to donate for his funeral it would be extremely appreciated from all of us. As soon as I get any information on the funeral, I will post an update.
