In 2015 we had the pleasure of being involved in Sedona’s life. Within the year Frank and I became full time caregivers and shortly after became legal guardians. Sedona was dropped off at our home with a diaper bag and we did not hear from her mother for 6 months. Sedona’s sisters went to live with other family friends during this time. Unknowingly to us and her 4 other children, Sedona's mother moved out of state and later had another baby. Our lives have been centered around raising Sedona and giving her a family that can offer her stability and love. With us, Sedona has found a passion for dance and shows huge responsibility caring for her pets. She has been given the chance to grow in a safe environment under our roof for 8 years. We have taught her the value of family and education. Sedona’s biological mother is now wanting to cease our legal guardianship that she signed away many years ago. This woman has been given continuous opportunities to be a part of Sedona’s life, but has not seen Sedona for many years. We provide her love, affection, consistency and stability. We are the family that Sedona needs to continue to be the best version of herself. We love her so much and cannot imagine life without her. If she were to be taken from our home, we believe that everything she knows and values will be lost. We are prepared to fight to keep Sedona with the only family she has ever known.
