Paws for a Caws rescue

Hi my name is Crysta and I run Paws for a Caws rescue and rehabilitation in Innisfail FNQ.

Paws for a Caws rescue and rehabilitation is a small family business in Innisfail rescuing stray, unwanted and abandoned kittens. Currently all expenses come from my own pocket to go towards vet bills, food, beds and medical items. Currently Innisfail and surroundings have a very high rate of cats and kittens on the street. It is our goal to catch as many as we can and rehabilitate them to a normal life style and find new homes for them. Most of the kittens that come in are very sick and need alot of medical attention whoch can be very costly.

Our cause started when we were called to pick up and very sick malnourished kitten from a friend that they found. He was so small, scruffy and starving. We called him Furby. After some food and a bath he was running running all over our bathroom. We took him to the vet for eye drops and some supplies but unfortunately being a stray noone wanted to help him and they took him from us and put him down. This broke my heart and I cried for days. After that I swore I'd help as many kittens as I could to prevent other kittens being refused help. Since then I've saved many kittens and even saved Furby's siblings and found them new homes.
