Paul Faber

Greetings everyone! Most of you know Paul Faber, who was one of the owners of Mabel’s, the iconic nightclub in the middle of campus-town on Green Street. Paul was attacked in his home last November which racked up numerous outstanding bills. Paul was SEVERELY injured after being hit in the head several times with a hammer and left for dead.

On top of all of that,Paul is in jeopardy of losing the house that he inherited from his dad, due to delinquent taxes. Our friend, Jim Bean, is spearheading an attempt to raise $5000.00 to get Paul’s taxes paid up and to help with other outstanding bills. (If we can raise MORE than $5000.00 that would be AWESOME but we’re starting with this.) When Jim contacted us we decided almost instantly that we would help in any way we can. Jim approached us knowing that we are in contact with all of the musicians and fans across East-Central Illinois, and that many of you have personal memories of Mabel’s and/or Paul. Any amount of money you can give WILL HELP, and ALL OF THE MONEY will be going directly to paying Paul’s bills. There will be no administrative fees, as everyone involved is volunteering their time and efforts for this extremely worthy cause. Please give what you can and help us to get the word out, helping to get even more money for a guy that helped make the music scene what it once was and is around here.
