Paul and Deb Fund for Cancer Support and Care

This summer, our wonderful friend and musical brother Paul Abrelat went to the doctor with back pain and was suddenly diagnosed with an advanced stage 4 cancer called cholangiocarcinoma, a rare cancer that involves the bile ducts, liver, and gall bladder area.

Paul is currently on disability while he undergoes chemo and immunotherapy treatment. Debra Tala, his wife and hardworking musician in her own right, has paused her piano instruction business to be Paul’s all-important treatment advocate and provide daily care and support.

Just a year ago, Paul was summiting Mt. Rainier with all the required fitness and training. Now he and Debra are on a different climb. They are both extremely strong and capable people, but this kind of mountain can’t be climbed alone. We’ve set up this GoFundMe to support Paul and Debra with treatment, care, and ongoing and day-to-day living expenses. Any amount you can give to help ease this hard, hard time for these lovely people is appreciated.
