I Kate Harrington am participating in the Pat Smullen Cancer Trials Ireland Race.

Cancer Trails Ireland are leading the way in the battle with cancer. I am dedicating my participation to riding in this race firstly to my late Dad Johnny Harrington who battled liver cancer for over a year, And secondly to my Mum Jessica who has gone through Breast Cancer Treatment over the last nine months and is battling it very gamely and is nearly at the end of her treatment and in the clear. I have approximately just over three weeks to get myself fit and ready to ride in the charity race at the Curragh on the 26th of August. It’s going to be a big challenge as iv haven’t been riding out racehorses regularly for a few years now. But for anyone who knows me I love a challenge.
