Pastor Couple Loses Everything in House Fire

If you are reading this story, your life has likely been touched by Tamera and David. In addition to working full-time jobs, both serve at pastors in their community. David is a pastor at Wesley Chapel in Kingsville, MO. Tamera serves as a pastor at Chilhowee Community United Methodist Church. They are beacons of service and kindness in their churches, families, and communities.
I joined Tamera and David's family in 2006, when I married their son Danny. They have been constant champions for our young family, and wonderful grandparents to our two children. For instance, when Tamera and David learned that I wanted to continue my education, they didn't hesitate to pitch in with food and child-care to support us.
While Tamera was working, and David was at a pastoral training on March 1st, a fire started at their home in Kingsville. Neighbors acted quickly to notify emergency services, but the fire destroyed the house and everything inside it. Luckily, their pets escaped the fire, and no one was harmed.
But now, all they own has been destroyed, from family photos, prescription medicines, laptops, documents, clothes, and all groceries and household items.
These funds will be used to replace those things than can be replaced, and to help Tamera and David invest in future housing.
