Passion Project : Haiti 2014
In January 2014 my little sister Hannah and I will be joining twenty other individuals to Haiti on a trip organized by my amazing friend Josh Newton in support of Child Hope International. This trip is about sharing our gifts with other people-Hannah and I have felt a calling to do something of this nature for sometime and we are blessed that Josh has included us on this incredible journey.
To give you an idea of some of the things we will be doing there:
-By supporting this trip, you will be giving several hundred Haitians access to clean water through Thirst Relief
-We will be documenting the experience through photos and videos of all the kids, workers, volunteers, teachers, and nurses that live there full time in hope to share their life, their love, their story.
-We will be playing soccer with the kids, doing art projects, teaching them business skills, web design, photography, etc.
-We will be making a photo book/magazine describing the whole history of the orphanage through written word and photos
-We will be coming alongside 5-6 different orphans who have all started their own businesses - teaching them business skills, marketing, website design, and writing a blog/story about each one- We will be spreading all the love we are capable of!
YOUR support for this trip is not only enabling Hannah and I to share our gifts with the people we connect with in Haiti but YOU are now a part of it with us! The funding will support our travels to Haiti, purchase art supplies, used to make bio sand water filters, hopefully drill a well, fund a video/media project to cover the whole trip, and the rest will be donated to Child Hope International.
