Park U Students' Food over Break

Food insecurity is a growing issue among college students. The trend is reflected here at Park. We are proud to have reduced the price of our meal plans by 25%, but that doesn’t help when our cafeteria is closed over the long winter break. While most students go home, the students who stay in the residence halls typically do not have access to transportation or extra money for food. We are working on long-term plans to address the issue. But in the short term, in lieu of buying each of the Executive Staff members a holiday gift basket, Laurie and I are donating $75 in the name of each Executive Staff member to provide shelf-stable food for our students. Every $75 donation will feed a student for about a week over the winter break.   Thank you for considering the same!
