Paris & Jess Adoption Puzzle Fundraiser

Friends and family of Jessica and Paris,
Hi Everyone, my name is Michelle and I am a close friend of Jess & Paris. As many of you know, from the beginning of their relationship, Paris and Jessica have known without a shadow of a doubt that being parents was their ultimate goal. For those of you who know them well, you also know there couldn’t be two better suited people for the roles. What might be lesser known though, are the struggles they’ve endured for the last nearly 4 years in their journey to make this dream a reality- from numerous failed attempts, painful fertility treatments, such as multiple rounds of IVF, and ultimately a devastating loss. After taking time to heal from all of this, they remained strong and hopeful and ultimately knew that their family was meant to be created through adoption. Adoption was always a path they were open to and ultimately they decided that it was the one meant for them- an option they couldn’t be more grateful for.
The last 6 months have been filled with classes, social worker visits, testing, background checks, doctor visits, and so much paperwork, in their effort to complete all steps required to become a waiting adoptive family.
They are now officially APPROVED, a huge and exciting step - and the result of so much hard work and a lot of patience. As of last week, they are officially a “waiting family” able to be picked by expecting birth parents to raise their child as their own. It’s a truly beautiful process.
It’s also an incredibly expensive one (especially after all the money already spent on fertility treatments). What a lot of people don’t know, is that most domestic adoptions cost between $40-50K+, with a significant amount of this money being needed within 24 hours of being chosen. These funds go toward everything from birth mom hospital expenses and housing, to prenatal care for the baby and legal fees.
In an effort to help ease this financial burden for this incredible couple during this already stressful (but super exciting) time, I wanted to start a fundraiser knowing that any amount helps. The funds raised will go directly to Jess & Paris to help with the expenses for the birth mom and as well as everything the baby needs when they bring he or she home.
Jess and Paris have chosen 3 jigsaw puzzles that create one complete picture representing their “wish” to become parents.
For every $10 donated, a piece will be added to the puzzle with your name on it. After the puzzles are complete, they will frame and display them in their child’s nursery to remind them and their son or daughter of all the special people that helped make their dream of becoming parents a reality.
