Selfless Pam Deserves Something Fun!

I am a High School Guitar teacher in San Diego.  I have been doing a guitar donation drive so my students can play at home during Covid 19.  On August 1st I stopped at a modest house to pickup an electric guitar being donated.  As I approached the porch I noticed that the case was of the vintage Fender variety.  I knocked on the screen door to thank the donor.  Pam said that she was "happy to give."  I took the case to my car and opened it up.  My eyes about popped out of my head when I gazed upon a 1969 Fender Telecaster!  I drove to another house to pick up someone else's guitar and I couldn't stop thinking about what had just transpired!  I knew that I had to recontact Pam to make sure that she knew what she was giving!  The next day I let her know.  I told her its approximate value of  $8,000.  I said that I would bring it back and she could do whatever she wanted with it.  I did not want someone potentially in need losing an opportunity to help themselves.  A few hours later Pam emailed me back.  She did not know the value of the guitar prior to donating, but still wanted the school to have it!!!  She appreciated the honesty and said that her husband who has since passed away would have wanted the same!  Let's raise money for Pam so that her selfless act can be rewarded!

This guitar will be used by some of the school's students during performances and will be used by students in the soon to be constructed recording studio.
