Pai in the Sky shuttle MTB trail development

Tax deductible
Colorado River Area Trail Alliance (CRATA) is excited to announce the very beginning stages of a shuttle trail development that will start high in the Hualapai Mountains nearly at 8000 ft in elevation & drop 5000 vertical ft into historic, downtown Kingman.

Imagine a shuttle trail with well over 5000 feet of descending over an 18 to 20 mile journey with only a few short & easy climbs through seven different ecosystems. Imagine a trail fully designed top to bottom to be bike optimized from start to finish & doesn't use any pre-existing hiking trails, cow paths or double tracks & is accessed primarily by a well maintained paved road. A trail with unmatched views over looking Kingman & Golden Valley. A trail that starts in the ponderosa & aspen tree forest & finishes in the Mojave desert & directly into the charming, historic downtown Kingman. A trail that descends along incredible rock formations, spires & has optional steep slabs for expert riders. A trail that would attract adventurous beginners, low level intermediates & families to the most advanced riders from around the world! The terrain, features & scenery are the stuff of mountain bikers dreams. This is the Pai In The Sky Drop & it will be one of the premier shuttle rides in North America.

The Pai In The Sky combined with the family friendly Monolith Gardens trail system & the exciting White Cliffs urban interface trail system create the perfect package to offer visitors a variety of experiences & a reason not to simply pass through but to stop & stay for several days enjoying the trails & the down town area. Kingman is located within a three hour drive from over 8 million people. There's over 3 million within an hour & a half drive from Las Vegas. Kingman's location makes it for the perfect weekend getaway or a stop over for mountain bikers headed to or from other regions such as Sedona, Flagstaff and Southwest Utah. The Pai In The Sky Drop will put Kingman on the map for every serious mountain biker & transform the economic landscape of downtown Kingman.

We need YOUR help to get this project underway. We currently need to raise 50k to achieve our phase 1 goals of developing a detailed alignment design & then completing the archeological & biological studies for NEPA requirements. After this the project would be shovel ready & we will be looking at grant options & other avenues for funding. Thank you so much for your interest in this project & we greatly appreciate your assistance to make this dream a reality!
