Pack 111 Cub Scout Memorial for Zayne & Michelle

Hi, my name is Mike and I am the Cub Master for Pack 111 in Bradenton, Florida. On September 29th, 2023 Cub Scout, Zayne Tourjee (7 years old) and his mother, Michelle Tourjee were tragically killed on US-301. They were on their way home from spending time with friends, who are also members of the Pack 111 family. Zayne and Michelle are survived by, Colin, their father and husband, also our Wolf Den Leader. Sadly, He bore witness to the loss of his family from a different car.

The enormity of this loss has been unimaginable for Colin and heart-wrenching for all the members of Pack 111. As a group, we have reached a point where we want to turn our sympathy into remembrance. BSA has posthumously awarded Zayne Tourjee the Spirit of the Eagle award. This award honors his hard work, charity, and the joy he brought to Cub Scouts. This award was the first step in our plan to commemorate Zayne. Now it is time for us to begin creating the last step in our plan.

The purpose of this fundraiser is to establish a lasting cub scout memorial for Zayne & Michelle. Our hope is to raise enough funds to have a tree planted and outdoor plaque create commemorate their lives and contributions to Scouting. The BSA Manatee County Executive Committee has granted us permission to place this memorial on the grounds at BSA's Camp Flying Eagle in Bradenton, FL.

Every penny raised will be used to create this memorial. If we raise more money than our goal; all remaining funds will be used to better support this project or donated. Colin has been made aware of this fundraiser and supports its purpose. The monies being raised are strictly to create this memorial and not on behalf of the BSA organization.
