ACL Sound Equipment Fund
The Association of Children's Librarians of Northern California (ACL) seeks funding to replace stolen sound equipment and buy similar equipment to own and use at future events.
Founded in the 1930's, ACL is an all volunteer community of dedicated youth services library professionals. Its activities include the monthly publication of BayViews, a highly-regarded, monthly, source of book reviews for Children's Literature; and the planning of professional development and networking opportunities relevant to youth services.
In addition, each year we put on a Performers' Showcase, a day-long program for musicians, artists, storytellers and other performers to demonstrate their talents to librarians and other professionals who serve children throughout the Bay Area. This audience of professionals depends on this annual event, the largest and most well-attended of it's type in the Bay Area, to find new and exciting perfomers to bring to their communities.
In the hours preceding this year's Performer Showcase in early February, the audio equipment that was rented for the event was stolen from the automobile of one of our members. Any contributions raised from this campaign will be used to cover the replacement costs of this stolen rental equipment, and help us purchase our own small sound equipment for future use. Please consider making a contribution.
All contributions to ACL are tax deductible!
