Jacob’s Group Home Generator Help / My First Horizon
Hi, my name is Amy O’Donnell. I need your help for My First Horizon, a small family run group home with 6 residents with special needs in Hollywood Florida. My son Jacob is one of the residents who lives at My First Horizon, where they do amazing and incredible things for the children who reside there.
A new state law requires group homes like My First Horizon to have generator to run the home. In 2020 the owner and parents raised the 15,000 dollars for the generator. Sadly, it’s taken 16 months for the generator to get installed and near final approval by the city. But for various reasons—and I won’t point fingers---the cost has soared to 24,000 dollars and we don’t have the 9,000 dollars to pay the generator company.
I am asking for any donations that can possibly help the children who live at the group home. I am asking on behalf of the owner of the group home. I am asking on behalf of my son who is a resident of that group home.
The group home does so much for the residents, and the community.
My wish is to help the group home raise more money to cover additional costs that they have incurred.
