I was diagnosed with prostrate cancer on December 30, 2015 and have exisiting expenses and am in need of an additional $6,100.00 to meet my individual deductible before I can have surgery at NCH in Naples, Florida. My surgery has been scheduled for Thursday, February 18th 2016 at 11:30am. Prostate cancer is based on the Gleeson scale named after the Doctor who is credited with this measurement for prostate cancer. My cancer is an 8 out of 10 with one being low and 10 being high. My cancer is considered aggressive, however, there is every indication we have caught it early and that the cancer is considered to be isolated to the prostate and has not traveled anywhere else in my body or at least there is no major identifiable consentration of cancer visible by the nuclear xray preformed on 12/31/15. I still owe $100.00 on that proceedure. I also am still paying $50.00 per month for two surgeries preformed in 2014 at Health Park hospital. Removal of the prostate is a more certain and immediate way of ridding my body of cancer over radiation and hormone treatment. My monthly medical individual insurance premium through Florida Blues HMO is $640.18 for individual medical insurance. This morning at my Thursday devotional study, 2/4/16 a friend suggested go fund me as a way of allowing friends and even strangers to help me receive this needed life saving surgery. It is hard to come forward in this way of requesting money but I need your help. All money I receive will be used solely for insurance deductibles, copays, out of pocket maximum and or insurance premium.
