Donations for Demi -Cleft Operation
Spende geschützt
Hi everyone, my name is Feliah Demi Dean, but my friends and family call me Demi. I was born December 18, 2013 to Madea and Fredrick Dean....but I just call them mom and dad.
As soon as I arrived, doctors noticed that although I was a really cute baby, my nose hadn't fully formed. Doctors ran several tests including a cat scan to find out what was going on with my facial bone structure. As it turns out, I had no nose bridge at all. As you can see in my picture, being born without a nose bridge gives my nose a sunken in appearance and causes my eyes to be far apart, but these are actually the least of my troubles.
When I got a little bigger, my mommy took me to see a pediatric plastic surgeon at Miami Children's Hospital who was more familiar with my specific birth defect. I was diagnosed with having a cleft nose. This birth defect
happened early in my development while I was still forming in my mommy's womb.
Because I have a cleft nose, not only is my nose sunken in, but I am always stuffy and it's hard for me to breath. I also suffer from severe allergies and sinusitis.
Fortunately, there is a procedure that can be done to repair my cleft nose, but it is very expensive. My family does not have any medical insurance, so all expenses will have to be paid out of pocket. Also, we live in the Bahamas, so we will have to travel to Miami, FL for my surgery. After adding travel and lodging expenses to the already costly medical procedure, we will need to raise at least $40,000.
It may seem like a large sum but I know that with your help I can reach my goal. On June 25, 2015, doctors can give me the operation I need to make my life so much easier. Please help me. No amount is too big or too small, and I promise that I will appreciate any amount you can give.

Thank you.
Love,
Demi
