Mann's Got Munch Over 60's Christmas Special

Donation protected

Almost 1.5 million elderly people feel more lonely at Christmas than at any other time of year, this event is our way of trying to help bring that number down in our community.

To combat loneliness on Christmas day the Mann's Got Munch crew have teamed up with local charity The Furzedown Project & The Woodlawns Centre to deliver a Christmas to remember for the elderly in Wandsworth and Lambeth borough. In true Mann’s Got Munch style we will be putting on a Christmas feast, along with Bingo and other activities for our guests who would otherwise be spending it alone.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!
  • This is a none-profit event so we're kindly asking for donations via this go fund me to help us create the best experience! All the money will go towards ingredients, decorations, venue hire, bingo prizes and transporting guests. We would also love to be able to provide a take-home goodie bag for each of our guests.
  • We are also looking for volunteers to join our dream team in the kitchen & on the ground to keep our guests entertained.
  • Business owners - we are also looking for bingo prize donations, whether it be a voucher, hamper, a bottle of booze, pamper gift or goodie bag treats.

If you would like to volunteer or donate a prize please get in touch via https://www.mannsgotmunch.com/contact

If you know someone over the age of 60 who would benefit from this event, please do get in touch with

About The Furzedown Project: The charity has been running for 47 years for people aged 50 and over from London Borough of Wandsworth to increase their sense of well-being and reduce social isolation. They run a lively programme of over twenty social, educational, recreational, and health-promoting activities at the centre. They also offer a Befriending service that gives chat and socialising through our outreach programme to people who find it very difficult to get out of their own homes.

About The Woodlawns Centre: An independently run older people’s day centre in the London Borough of Lambeth. The centre is also home to several charities.
Their objective is to provide a richly diverse social experience for older people. They organise and run a large number of activities for their visitors including Exercise Classes, Arts & Crafts, Cultural celebrations, Day trips, Computer Classes and a Lunch Club. The Communities Hub provides information, advice and support to older people, refugees, faith groups and Windrush Project. They work tirelessly to ensure the highest standard of service for older people in our community.

All my foodie friends, followers and family please do share this on your socials to spread the word!

Thanks so much!
