Typhoon Haiyan relief for Palo, Leyte
Donation protected
On November 8, 2013, Typhoon Haiyan (known in
the Philippines as Typhoon Yolanda), one of the most violent storms in history
made landfall in the Philippines and has devastated much of the Visayas region.
70 "“ 80% of the province of Leyte has
been destroyed, leaving houses and buildings in ruins and thousands of families
displaced and homeless. Leyte,
Philippines is in a state of calamity right now. Widespread looting has taken place, power
lines are down, communication is limited, and our people are desperate for
fresh water, food, shelter and medical assistance.
The small coastal town of Palo, Leyte (just south of Tacloban) is where our family is from. Their town was badly devastated from Typhoon Haiyan. Right now, Palo is isolated with communications down and the roads blocked by debris. Fortunately, we have received confirmation that our immediate family survived (still waiting to hear about others). However they need our help in order to rebuild their homes and to provide basic needs for living.
Our hope is that you can give a little that will still go a long way in the efforts to help provide to our families in Palo, Leyte. Any help would be much appreciated especially your prayers. 100% of the funds raised will provide direct aid for food, water, and medical supplies to our families (Acebedo, Tutaan, Oliver, Monge, and Villacorte families) in the community. Funds will then contribute to the rebuilding of their homes that were destroyed.
Thank you very much and May the Lord Bless you and give you all peace and love.
From the Tutaan, Villacorte, Yoshimura, Nepomuceno, Oliver and Lowe families
