Our sunflower Roxy!

Donation protected

As many may know on Thursday 2nd September we lost our beautiful friend, a devoted wife, a fun loving sister, an only daughter, a gorgeous stepdaughter and the most AMAZING mother to her 2 boys Jake 11 and Liam 8.

Out walking that morning and by the afternoon she was gone so unexpectedly. A date now etched in our memory forever.

She was 39, the fittest and healthiest she has ever been. She was committed to her 5km park runs every Saturday at the ponds, she even did them while on holidays wherever she was.

She has left a trail of devastation across numerous families her huge circle of friends and the community. The sadness from everyone around her and support shown to her family shows how much of an amazing, inspiring, dedicated, loyal loving person she was. When you were in her circle you were in it forever!

Her favourite flowers were sunflowers and she embodied everything about them she provided an energy in the form of nourishment and vibrancy! They are known for the happy flower bringing joy to someone’s day. Rox was a human sunflower!

She spent her career helping others. She worked with people with disabilities and dementia patients, always giving her time to help others. She even started up a program for kids with disabilities to play in a supportive and inclusive environment at her local soccer club.

If you knew Rox you would know she was always the first to help anyone. Even if she didn’t know them she would be asking how she could help and always supporting charity drives. She was an amazing young woman. She always will be.

I’ve started this as I want her family to have the time to grieve because as we know grief has no timeline. They can spend time and remember the mum and wife she was without the added pressures of returning to work to pay a mortgage or bills and instead take the boys on a special holiday. Liam has never been on a plane and most recently they were talking about a trip to Hamilton Island just so he could have his first ever plane ride. I want to make this happen.

Sadly we won’t have any more adventures, no more memories to create with our Rox. So we will hold on to what we have and always remember her beaming, radiant and infections sunflower smile!

If you can’t donate that’s fine but I would appreciate if you can please share. She would have done it for you in a heartbeat!

Love Alex - We miss you. You will be with us forever. Until we meet again
