I have had the privilege of producing this crowdfunding campaign for my friend: Alejandro Morones Nava. This video was produced with a budget of $0 (USD) and is fully relying on the kindness of others to succeed in our mission. Our goal with this crowdfunding campaign is to raise $10k (USD) for a family that is in desperate need of a house. The mother (Magdalena Gomez) has 5 children and 4 of them are females - making them even more vulnerable to certain dangers such as the local drunks that roam their streets. Magdalena and her family were abandoned by a man who is an alcoholic and so the weight of providing for her family lies solely upon her. Please consider giving to this campaign. We are looking forward to giving you updates as the building is completed once funds are able to support progress once more.
HOW SOON WE NEED THE FUNDS:
To be fully upfront, the funds were needed yesterday. This family is living in a dark situation right now, and the sooner we can get to active building again, the sooner the Gomez family can move to a Safe and Beautiful home!
HOW FUNDS WILL BE USED:
1. Funds will be used to supporting the family with food, clothes, and anything else they need until the house is completed.
2. Funds will be used for buying more construction material, for hiring the right local builders to complete the job, and for purchasing the rest of the land (down-payment has been made for the land) to give complete ownership over to the Gomez family.
3. Funds will be used for financially supporting Alejandro Morones Nava while he takes on the role of full time supervisor and team leader for the building project.
4. We hope to have extra funds as well as they will be used to provide a financial buffer to get the Gomez family set with a financial cushion until they are able to find a way to provide income for themselves (perhaps getting them some extra land on which to plant crops to sell, or purchasing chickens to raise and sell).
5. Any extra funds will also be used to support the media startup that produced this video with a $0 dollar budget and help it to produce more videos like this.
