OU SGA for Black Lives Support Fund

The recent news cycle has shown us graphic images and told us heartbreaking stories of tragic deaths, enraged protesters, and a general sense of unrest. The murders of Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, Tony McDade, George Floyd and countless others have stirred up feelings of anger, fear, and pain, especially amongst our black communities.

The Student Government Association was established to serve and advocate for the student body in order to continue improving the student experience. We cannot expect the student experience to improve upon our return to campus unless we contribute to rectifying the injustices of today. That being said,  we will be opening the OU Student Government Association for Black Lives Support Fund. All donations to this fund will be put towards donating water and other materials to rallies and protests within the Oklahoma City and Norman region. Additional funds will be donated to funds honoring those who have lost their lives.


We hope you will join us as we address and support the important issues beyond our campus in order to build a better tomorrow for our entire OU family.
