Jeridan's Ulcerative Colitis Fund

In summer of 2014, Jeridan was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis (inflammatory bowel disease) which is the result of an abnormal response by your body’s immune system. Ulcerative Colitis is a chronic disease of the large intestine, in which the lining of the colon becomes inflamed and develops tiny open sores, or ulcers, that produce pus and mucous. Some symptoms of Ulcerative Colitis include abdominal pain, diarrhea often with blood and mucus, urgent bowel movements, loss of appetite, nausea and vomiting, low energy, fatigue, fevers, and inflammation in joints.

Jeridan is a 21 year old student at UWM in Milwaukee , WI. He resides in Germantown, WI with his loving family and girlfriend. In the past year his health has gotten from mild to severe. He has had multiple doctor’s visits for his Ulcerative Colitis and has been on numerous medications for his illness. If these medications don't work he will have to have pouch surgery where they will remove his large intestine and reconstruct it using parts of his small intestine. This surgery is the only hope he has of recovering and living a normal life. On top of the colitis he also has a blood clot in his head with  little bleeding. 

As you can imagine, this whole process has been not only physically and emotionally draining for him and his family but also financially draining. He is unable to work consistently or finish college due to his UC flare ups. Jeridan is  on a reduced paycheck due to illness related work absences so it is hard for him to pay for his medication he needs. The financial struggles will continue to build over the next year due possible surgical procedures he will have to treat his UC.  Any help you could give him would truly be a blessing.
