Orphan Corks was formed to create a stream of income for an orphanage in Kakinada City, Andhra Pradesh, South India.
We began by making cork neckalces to sell to raise money bit by bit, however with the money we've sent the orphanage has outgrown their space.
There are now 40 children packed into 2 small rooms, all sharing the same toilet.
The mission also provides schooling to over 400 children from impoverished families.
This particular goal is to raise the appropriate amount to secure a larger building with 5 or 6 rooms, beds, and a medical fund for the sick children. They need medical attention and is not provided for them.
This 2,500 will secure this bigger space and allow the orphanage to continue to grow.
