Opportunity at NEMC 2018

Greetings, my name is Galileo Wang from the Cumberland Regional High School in Bridgeton, NJ, and this summer I wish to attend the New England Music Camp. I have been fortunate enough to be granted a $3000 scholarship out of the $4700. I cannot be grateful enough for their generosity. However, even with this scholarship my family still have trouble paying the rest. I have been living with my grandparents for 11 years, who are both above the age 75. They have just enough money to keep a living and allow me to pursue my talent in music. $1700 may not be a great sum for a camp like this, but it is a really troubling number for my grandparents. My parents are back in Taiwan keeping that part of my family up, so they can't support much of this, either. I have just recently obtained a job, and therefore have not made much towards this cause. This is a great opportunity that I know I will never be able to revisit due to the fact that I will be going on to college next year to further my education. I know that this camp will advance my skills in music even further and push me an extra step towards my future career. This fund will be needed before 6/30 and will go completely towards the camp cost, nothing else. As for my background, I have been a good standing student through out my years in both grade school and high school. I have received advanced/high honors all 3 years so far in high school, have been recently elected the class president of 2019, and received my achievement letter. I am a part of the National Honor Society, National Junior Classical League, and is the treasurer for my FFA chapter. In the athletic department, I have participated in winter track for 2 years, track for 3 years, and cross country for 2 years. I have also been involved in many community services, such as the construction of a community trail in the town of Cedarville, NJ. This fund would mean a world to me, and any cent would be gratitude from the deepest of my heart. I cannot thank any donor enough for this opportunity he or she have granted me. It is an honor to receive these charity, and therefore I thank you with my upmost appreciation.
