Letha & John Maslauskas kick cancer

We never imagined we would know someone who truly needs your help in the way Letha and her family does. Letha’s husband John, has been diagnosed with cancer for the third time and is not responding to treatments as they had hoped. As medical bills pile up from this round of treatment, they are struggling to pay off bills from the first 2 rounds of treatment.  His latest chemo treatments have required week long hospital stays with awful side effects. John is awaiting another biopsy in two weeks to find a better cancer killing cocktail.  

We promise, we can’t make this stuff up. A year ago their house was broken into, John was in a car accident a few months back and broke his arm a month ago while working. He should be taking it easy but he refuses to because he doesn't want his family to suffer.  Letha is scared for John and wants him to focus on getting well. She is overwhelmed with all the family responsibilities now and feels all the weight is on her. John is a car salesman who lives off commission and Letha is a paraprofessional working in a special education preschool. They are far too hardworking and deserve the world.

We are asking for help, on behalf of the Maslauskas family. John will need many days of support from Letha as intense treatments continue. We don’t want Letha to have to choose between work and her husband (although we will miss her here at work!). John and Letha have two beautiful daughters who are far too young to be sharing the stress of this cancer. As John is feeling better, he should be spending time recovering with his family not stressing about making ends meet.
