Helping During The Corona Virus Pandemic
Good Afternoon,
Deacon Stan here on behalf of Operation We Can.
This is our third year in operation and this year more than ever we are seeking your support during this pandemic. But, this year’s request is a little different from the past two. Instead of collecting actual food donations, we have set up a go fund me page for monetary donations, for Operation We Can, sponsored by Palos Council #35, Knights of Columbus, Bristol CT. We are having a Virtual Food Drive.
Instead of distributing food because of the concern of social distancing, we are accepting monetary donations to be distributed to the following recipients:
St. Vincent DePaul Mission of Bristol Homeless Shelter
Agape House
Brian’s Angels
Veterans Strong Community Center Inc.
Hillside Necessities Cupboard
Zion Lutheran Meals For Neighbors & Soup Kitchen
Salvation Army
St. Francis De Sales Food Pantry
St. Joseph Food Pantry
The funds collected will be given to them directly for purchase of food and items needed during this pandemic.
We are also providing hot meals to St. Vincent DePaul and
Brian’s Angels.
So what I am asking from each of you on behalf of Operation We Can is to help support this effort. Let all of us pitch in and show our support during this time of need.
