Medical Misson Trip to Kenya

Hi friends and family! This summer I have been extremely blessed with the opportunity to travel to Kenya with other students on a medical mission trip. Texas A&M partnered with Kenya Voluntary & Community Development Project to provide students on the career path to healthcare with the opportunity to partake in a medical mission alongside established doctors and other health professionals. This partnership is known as Operation Africa and this year marks its third year in existence. I will be working in public clinics and free medical camps doing whatever is needed.
I am currently a sophomore on the Physician Assistant track and after I receive my undergraduate degree, I plan on attending a P.A. graduate program. I love that this trip will not only allow me to gain practical skills for my future career, but it will also be a great experience because I will get to directly impact the daily lives of the families of Wagusu, Kenya. Having never been on this trip before, I do not know the extent of blessings and joy that will be experienced, but simply from hearing stories of my friends and coworkers, I know that lives will be changed and the community will be helped immensely!
We leave for Nairobi on May 8th and return on May 31st. The plane ticket costs $1,700 and the cost for everything while in Kenya (food, transportation, shelter) is $940. The total cost for this mission trip is $2,640. Below is the website for the amazing organization:

ANY donation would be greatly appreciated, whether it is monetary or lots of prayers! Also, the community relies on Operation Africa every year to bring over supplies. There is an extreme shortage of essential medical supplies in Wagusu, items that we take for granted, such as gloves and rubbing alcohol, so any donations over my funraising goal will go towards the purchasing of supplies that we are asked to bring along.
I cannot wait to meet the sweet, genuine friends that they have made there, and be a part of that bond. I am beyond humbled and overjoyed to be joining this year's trip!
