Open Your Heart… Help My Sister Keep Her Sight

Hi. I’m Vanessa and I am fundraising for my beautiful sister Nathalie. My sister has gone through a tough last few years… After ten procedures a couple of years ago, she lost complete sight from her right eye.

I already knew how amazing my sister was but she became an inspiration to me as I discovered the depth of her strength, her love for life and God, her generosity to the world and the power of her positivity.

I can not imagine life without my sister… and I can not imagine her in complete darkness. A week ago, she found out that the cataract in her left eye was suddenly progressing rapidly and that considering her history, what happened to her right eye could be repeating itself with her left eye. She is now considered legally blind. Her only chance to save her “good eye” is by consulting with specialists again and going through more procedures…along with much needed prayers and good vibes coming from the people who love her.

Nat lost her job a few months ago and has not been able to find more steady work since (partially due to her handicap), she has been without medical insurance and these doctor visits and surgeries are so expensive. She is unable to drive and her husband “ironically” is also legally blind so unable to help with transportations to her appointments.

My sister has always been generous to her friends, her family and strangers, volunteering, giving her time, opening her door and embracing everyone with love. It is finally her turn to receive it back. Please open your heart to someone who would never ask for it in return. Help her ease her mind a little and hopefully get the proper care so that what is left of her sight may be saved.
