Open Hearts Comm. Mission Lyn Harden Storehouse

For you, Lyn!! We will miss your kindness and laughter and your good cooking in the kitchen, but you will never be forgotten. We take comfort in knowing that you are rejoicing at the feet of Jesus.

On Monday morning, August 15, 2022, Lyn Harden, who was a resident at Open Hearts Community Mission, was tragically killed in a vehicle accident. Lyn had been living at the mission so she could get back on her feet financially and she had done that so beautifully. We had even begun to collect things for her apartment that she had already found. Many have asked what they can do during this sad time. We need a storehouse to store furnishings that are donated to us so we can gift them to residents when they get their own apartment. This is such a bright step coming out of homelessness. In memory of sweet Lyn, we will be raising $10,000 for the cost of a building that will be named the Lyn Harden Storehouse .
