One Love Greece

Just as Greece was recovering from hundreds of wildfires, storm "Daniel" lashed through the country on September 5th. This storm brought on unprecedented, torrential rains, flooding large areas of the country, such as Greece's main agricultural hub, Thessaly.

The loss of animals, such as sheep, cows and all wildlife is immeasurable, while pets and strays are still found swimming for safety. The overwhelming task of rescuing, feeding and providing medical care for these animals has fallen on the local rescue groups, comprised of volunteers, funded by no one, survivors of the floods themselves.

The urgency of rescuing and feeding is even greater, as in their search for food, the surviving animals are eating carcasses, causing serious concern for a larger public health crisis.

My name is Antinea, and I've started this gofundme to send immediate aid to those volunteers directly, specifically the local group Animal Adoptions Larissa (https://www.facebook.com/Animal.Adoptions.Larissa), in order to ensure these heroes can continue their absolutely necessary work.
