Help us purchase our 2nd greenhouse and be part of the Premaculture in Radhadesh ! 

One more greenhouse means : 

1. Growing hundreds of different plants around the year, from seed to seed : 
- Vegetables (varieties of tomatos, bell peppers, aubergines, cucumbers, corn, beans, peas, pumkins, spinachs, cabbages, salads, potatos...).
- Flowers (including nasturtiums, marigolds, cosmos, calendulas...). 
- Aromatics and medicinals (including ashwagandha, sage, rosemary, mints, oregano, thym, basil, coriander, lavender...)
- Fruit trees and bushes

2. Developping Premaculture : Premaculture is a new method of farming combining the ecological and sustainable principles of permaculture with the loving devotion cultivated in India's ancient Bhakti tradition.

3. Sharing knowledge through a Premaculture courses, a technical book, online videos, a YouTube channel, a website and a training programme. 

4. Promoting a simple way of living in harmony with nature & acting for biodiversity and ecosystems protection. The success of this campaign will  certainly benefit the 120+ residents in Radhadesh and the 25k yearly visitors but also plants, animals and the entire surronding ecosystem. 

5. Making a community closer to self-sustainability. A lot of communities are trying to reach food self-sufficiency. We are doing it too and we will share with you our experience. We want you to be part of this  project! 

February 2020 : A Permaculture project started in Radhadesh

Thibaut is a biology teacher and permaculture farmer from Liège. In February 2020, he came to Radhadesh and set up a 20x20m farm project including a 7x18m greenhouse from his own expenses. This first year has been a pilote year. A large varieties of vegetables, flowers, aromatics and medicinals were planted and a lot of data have been recorded. The results show that we need to duplicate this project at least 7 times  to make Radhadesh food-sustainable and be a permaculture self-sufficient model for any other families or communities. 


June 2020 : Premaculture, a new way of farming in harmony with Nature

In summer 2020, His Holiness Kadamba Kanana Swami came to Radhadesh and immediately supported the project. He suggested a new name for it : The premaculture project. Premaculture is a new method of farming combining the ecological and sustainable principles of permaculture with the loving devotion cultivated in India's ancient Bhakti tradition. A team emerged from this initiative and is composed of a few devotees including some farmers, an architect, a communication manager, an experienced community manager, a kitchen manager and a spiritual guide. 


September 2020 : Help us purchasing our 2nd greenhouse 

We want to buy and set up a 2nd greenhouse. The exact cost for the new greenhouse is €9800 including the installation fee and the seedling material required (4 profesionnal seedling tables, 32 seedtrays, 24 potting soil bags...). We need these funds by the end of the month so that installation can start in the fall. Thibaut will train some devotees to manage the greenhouse and associated crops during the season 2021. We are expecting to grow enough food to supply at least 2 days of the week with food from the garden for 120 residents.
