School for Florence & Naome’s Children

Lieve vrienden en familie,

We willen jullie graag voorstellen aan Florence en Naome, twee straffe vrouwen uit Oeganda die we al ruim tien jaar kennen en bewonderen. Beiden zijn vroedvrouw en zetten zich met hart en ziel in voor het welzijn van moeders en kinderen in Kilembe. Ze weten uit eigen ervaring hoe belangrijk onderwijs is, en doen er alles aan om hun kinderen dezelfde kansen te geven. Helaas is onderwijs zeer duur in Oeganda.

Naome is al meer dan 15 jaar weduwe.

Haar dochter Eunice (21) is net toegelaten tot de universiteit voor een bachelor in verpleegkunde. Haar zoon Junior (17) begint aan een hogere graad en hoopt binnen twee jaar ook aan de universiteit te starten om ingenieur te worden. ➡️ Jaarlijkse kosten: €1000 voor Eunice, €900 voor Junior

Florence zorgt alleen voor haar vier kinderen: Tinah (15), Jordan (11), Triphine (9) en Abigail (6). ➡️ Jaarlijkse schoolkosten: €900 voor het hele gezin samen

Onderwijs is voor hen geen luxe, maar een investering in zelfstandigheid en toekomstperspectief. Florence en Naome zijn zelf het levende bewijs van wat opleiding mogelijk maakt en ze willen hun kinderen dezelfde fundamenten meegeven om hun dromen waar te maken.

Samen is er €2800 nodig voor één jaar schoolkosten.Dat is ongeveer €233 per maand

Elke bijdrage, groot of klein, helpt hen hun kinderen te ondersteunen in hun groei en ambities. Dankjewel om mee te bouwen aan de toekomst van Eunice, Junior, Tinah, Jordan, Triphine en Abigail!

We would like to introduce you to Florence and Naome, two remarkable women from Uganda whom we have known and admired for over ten years. Both are midwives and are fully committed to the well-being of mothers and children in Kilembe. They know from their own experience how important education is and do everything they can to give their children the same opportunities. Unfortunately, education is very expensive in Uganda.

Florence is a single mother of four children: Tinah (15), Jordan (11), Triphine (9) and Abigail (6). ➡️ Annual school fees: €900 for the whole family

Naome has been a widow for over 15 years.

Her daughter Eunice (21) has just been accepted to university to study for a bachelor's degree in nursing. Her son Junior (17) is starting a higher education course and hopes to go to university within two years to become an engineer. ➡️ Annual costs: €1,000 for Eunice, €900 for Junior

Education is not a luxury for them, but an investment in independence and future prospects. Florence and Naome are living proof of what education can achieve, and they want to give their children the same foundation to make their dreams come true.

Together, they need €2,800 for one year of school fees.
