Hello. My name is Corey Lynch. I was diagnosed with Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes when i was 6 years old, and just reached my 20th year with this disease. Every day since my diagnosis, I have injected insulin 4+ times daily, and pricked my finger the same. I work as a chef at a french restaurant in Eugene, OR, and am finally reaching out for help with this. I pay upwards of $300 a month for perscriptions, and $100 a month for my insurance, making it hard to come up with this money all at once. Having an insulin pump has always seemed impossibe, but now, I am doing everything I can to make it a reality. Having this would dramatically improve my quality of life, making my blood sugar easier to manage, and making me feel normal again. The cost of this, with insurance, is $7,500.
