"On The Loose for Goose"

Gustavo Ordaz, Tavo as we call him at home, was only 3 years old when he moved to the U.S. from Mexico. His parents decided to come here for a better life for their family.
The U.S. is Gustavo's Home. He is not familiar with Mexico and has never returned back since living here in the U.S. Years later his mother passed away due to breast cancer and Gustavo has had it really hard in life. Thank God for skateboarding!
On July 2nd, 2017 Gustavo was detained at an Immigration office where he is still being held until he pays for a plane ticket and voluntarily returns back to Mexico. His sister, Ana Ordaz, tried to find every possible way to fight for his case after talking to three attorneys but they all agreed he has no chance of staying here for now and so Gustavo decided to sign a voluntary deportation. At this point its the best way to go about his situation.
Now he has to pick himself back up and start a new life in Mexico for a few years until hopefully one day he can return to the U.S. Its going to be hard on him mentally and financially to start over in life somewhere else that's not home. A life changing experience for sure.
He will need all the support he can get from friends, family and the Skateboard community.
The money raised here will be used to buy him a plane ticket and some clothing for him to get started in Mexico. Once he arrives there, any money left over he can use to start his new life.

On Saturday September 9th @  2pm  The DC Wheels charity organization and skateboard team will be sparking a crusade to raise money for their pal. This event and crusade will be called "On The Loose for Goose" 
 
It's going to be a 3 mile downhill race through the forest safely on a smooth trail. We will start the meet up for at the Olney Skate park at  16601 Georgia Ave Olney, MD 20832

Entry fee is 5 dollars. All money goes to Gustavo Ordaz. The 1st place winner wins a Complete pro skateboard provided by Metrotek Skateboards.
