The Fraternal Order of Police (Lodge 75), Rudy’s Tavern, and several members of the community invite you to help with providing several families in the Monroe County area and beyond with the Christmas of their dreams. Each of these families have amazing stories and they deserve a great Christmas. In the coming weeks of December we will gather the money we have raised from the Olsen Event and this GoFundMe to help provide an amazing Christmas for these families. In addition to gifts for the children, we also provide food and gas gift cards to the parents and guardians. In December before Christmas morning we will invite these families to receive. Santa Claus will deliver these presents with a police escort and we get to enjoy watching the children open them. We have done this over the past several years and because of your generosity this continues to grow. Last year we helped 95 kids have the Christmas of their dreams. Please make a donation, even if only $5. It all adds up in the end! Thank you to the Monroe County community, the local businesses and all the friends and families that have helped to support this incredible cause.
The Olsen Christmas Wish further hopes to donate to a mission in Haiti where they give children at an orphanage Christmas dinner and presents.
We also hope to make another donation to the Gift of Life House in Doug Knowles' and Nicole Lutz's memory.
We also hope to make another donation to an animal shelter in K9 Niko's memory.
The more we raise, the more we will be able to help. Keep in mind that this is a non-profit - not one person in the organization gets paid. All money you donate will go directly towards this cause.
The Families that we are giving Christmas to this year face a wide variety of challenges such as losing a parent, childhood cancer, destruction of a house by fire, debilitating injuries, grandparents raising children, and single mothers in domestic situations, just to mention a few. We have several families on the list.
As you can see this is the biggest one yet and we need all the help we can get.
My Name is Chris Shelly and I am the event organizer. I have been a police Officer for 18 years. All money raised will be used to purchase Christmas presents for numerous children in need.
