On Saturday evening, February 17, Olivia Rae Heffinger Day was involved in a tragic car accident with Maria Day in San Antonio, Texas.
Olivia has suffered a severe brain injury from which she will not recover. She remains on life support because she's an organ donor. The donor allocation process has begun and should be completed by tomorrow.
Olivia's parents, Greg and Wendy Heffinger (Spring Brook, PA), have traveled to San Antonio to be by their daughter's side.
Maria is in stable condition as she recovers from her injuries. Jason and Lisa Day (Madisonville, PA) are also in San Antonio providing support and care to Maria.
The families are incurring expenses for travel, room, and board. They anticipate bringing Olivia home for funeral services--as Olivia has a large and loving community grieving for her.
