Oliver’s Christmas Wish

Donation protected
Hello my name is Danielle on the 3rd of August we went on holiday as a family of 10, but came back as a family of 9 from Lara Beach. There was 4 kids in the party and each of them had a countdown for nearly two years on their phones for this. This wasn’t just a holiday it was also a celebration, as my sister was also getting married on the 10th of August, which was an amazing day and night. We were lucky enough to make some amazing memories to cherish forever.
Then on the Sunday 14th August our lives truly changed drastically forever and we entered into this living nightmare when my amazing, beautiful son Oliver got taken away from us tragically.
Oliver was 13 years old and had so much to live for. He started playing football from a very early age and had his first season ticket for Sunderland at the age of 4. From such an early age this was what Oliver lived and breathed. He played for a few of his local teams and his last team was Farringdon Detached and he was proud as punch to be the Captain.
Oliver was a very talented boy in many ways, he loved school, learning and always wanted to do his best. Oliver attended Mill Hill Nursery, followed through to the Primary school. Oliver’s secondary school was Venerable Bede, which he was an amazing student and well thought of by pupils and the staff. This sad loss has majorly impacted the students, which he had some amazing friends and connections with and also the staff. One of the reasons behind the go fund is we wish to have a memorial in place at the school which the kids and staff who are still struggling to come to terms with this can go and reflect their memories of Oliver.
Oliver’s other passion and obsession was to play on his scooter, which he would go to Silksworth ski slope, meet his friends, work on his stunts and skills. Again we are wanting a memorial set up through the Sunderland Council for the kids and our family to have somewhere to visit the places he loved the most.
The reason behind the name of his go fund page is that Oliver truly loved Christmas. He told us that he loved his holidays, but nothing compared to the magic of Christmas and spending time with his family.
Any funds remaining will be passed to Farringdon Detached football club, an animal rescue centre and also the Foundation of light, as this would have certainly have been Oliver’s wishes
