A group of neighbors (Kristi Michaud, Karlee, and myself) came together to rescue bunnies from a home on Olive Street in Denver after finding dead and dying domesticated rabbits around and on their property. You can read about the graphic details and see photos of the rescue here.
We were able to rescue 6 bunnies successfully, and one of them was pregnant. One day after the rescue, she gave birth to 10 baby bunnies. So, we now have 16 bunnies that we are currently searching for homes for them. However, before we can adopt them out, we need to get them fixed. Due to rabbits being considered exotic animals, it costs $150 per bunny to fix them.
We have their kennels, food, and bedding covered. What we are needing is help with paying for the neutering/spaying. Unfortunately, animal shelters and rabbit rescues in Colorado are over-run with bunnies, so they cannot accept any new ones. Also, they most likely will be euthanized because of overcrowding.
Please help us get these bunnies fixed and rehomed! Every donation helps!
