Support for Oiji Staff

Dear Oiji guests, friends and family The restaurant industry is suffering and we expect more challenges to come. Many small and large businesses are looking for help from the government. We understand that is not enough. The unemployment benefits department has a long waiting list, and some employees aren’t eligible for the claim. - Oiji management team decided to retain those employees rather than laying off. We have taken drastic measures to collect funds to support our employees and will continue to work around the clock to support and prioritize our team’s livelihood, however there is limit to what we as individuals can do. - We want to reach out to everyone around us to help support the members of our team who are most in need. Your support will never be forgotten. - This country's restaurant industry is built by immigrants all around the world. New York City is especially blessed with having many different types of cuisine; food makes our city wonderfully diverse with many different cultures represented. We can’t let these people be ignored. We want to start helping the members of our staff who do not have the privilege to claim unemployment benefits due to extenuating circumstances. Please help us to retain our valued employees so we can come back strong once this is all over. - We will be honest and transparent with the funds, and 100% of donations will go to our staff. We understand that everyone is suffering and we are not expecting a lot. We will take anything with deep gratefulness.
