The Copperbrook Homeowners Association, in Northwest Houston, is raising funds for a Memorial dedicated to our friend and protector of our Community, Deputy Sandeep Dhaliwal.
It was on one of our quiet community streets, where our beloved officer Deputy Sandeep Dhaliwal was so cruelly taken from this world in a senseless act of violence on September 27th 2019.
Officer Dhaliwal was our community officer for many years, he was very well known and loved by the local community both on Copperbrook and in the surrounding area:
"Words can't express the sadness we feel at your loss. You gave your life protecting our community, and for that we will be forever grateful. Your kindness and gentle spirit remains here still, and you will never be forgotten. Our Copperbrook community is a better place for having had you here with us, and we will work so hard to continue your legacy for the future" - The board of Copperbrook HOA.
The HOA wants to honor Deputy Dhaliwal by building a memorial area close to the spot where he was taken from us. The location is Willancy Lane, just past Willancy Court. Our general idea is to build steps leading from the street, up the embankment, to a path through the hedge between the trees, which will then lead to a seating / meditation area. This area will have a sculpture or similar monument, and a new path and small bridge will connect the memorial area to the main trail of the Charles Austin Park.
Planning and construction of the memorial is in the early stages, and as a HOA, we are financially unable to fund this project, so are asking for your kind donations to help realize this tribute to our dear friend.
We will be updating the Deputy Dhaliwal page on our website: www.copperbrookhoa.com - with news of the memorial as the project moves forward. The timeline for the project to completion is 11 months.
Thank-you so much, and please contact us for more information or if you can help in any other way.
